The girls and a new "brother" Meron.

Meron and his older sister, Lydia, have been staying with us for the past few months and have become part of the family now.

Meron and A-G are out...

K-J plays on and is the victorious winner :)

Birthday parties are nearly a bi-weekly event it seems...in a household of however many people live here (we can't seem to keep up with the numbers anymore)

Happy 16th Birthday Lydia!! Our very brave, one and only, adolescent female in the house! At least our girls now have a big sister finally!!

We had a joint party for Lydia and Abraham, whose birthday was in April

Easter Weekend

The crew just before the big Easter egg hunt, the first of its kind because we included "big" people in it this time.

The race is on!! It was hilarious how fast everyone took off, particularly Mubarak--who is now in Teacher Training college, but who was just as excited about an Easter egg hunt as our girls.

Lydia looking in the bushes

Found!!

Abraham finds an egg in the drain pipe, and he actually ended up finding the coveted price of "airtime," or phone credit. He was then able to make a call home to Sudan!

KJ finds an egg in her bicycle

Dying eggs was fun this year since both girls are older and able to enjoy it more... yes the mess was still there, but at least the goal of coloring an egg was somewhat accomplished...

We did explain that Easter is really about Jesus and His resurrection and that eggs don't have anything to do with the resurrection, but are just something fun to do...AND really they were fun to make and turned out very pretty.

Finally asleep-- we found KJ in this position in the rocking chair one night where she apparently had decided she wanted to sleep.
